Complex Projects. Controlled Delivery
Specialist Wells
GeoSonic Drilling specialises in installing multi-level wells within complex hydrogeological environments, including sites affected by significant contamination. These systems maximise the quality and volume of data obtained from a limited number of boreholes, providing a detailed three-dimensional understanding of groundwater flow and contaminant distribution.
Our reputation is built on precise, reliable installation in conditions where accuracy is critical and margins for error are minimal. By combining specialist in-house expertise with advanced sonic drilling technology, we deliver technically robust systems designed for dependable long-term performance.
A key strength is our highly regarded pre-contract engagement process. Working closely with clients from the outset, we help refine system designs, assess geological and contamination risks, reduce uncertainty and ensure each installation is appropriate for site-specific conditions. This early collaboration supports efficient delivery while maintaining rigorous standards of quality control.
Although multi-level systems can require greater initial investment than conventional monitoring wells, their enhanced data yield can deliver considerable long-term value. GeoSonic ensures this investment is fully realised through careful planning, precision installation and practical application, enabling systems to perform as intended from day one.
Since our inception, we have completed hundreds of successful installations across dozens of sites. Strong relationships with system suppliers, consultants and end users position GeoSonic as a trusted link between emerging technology and effective field delivery.
More recently, GeoSonic has taken a leading role in trialling and installing advanced multi-level well systems within the nuclear sector at one of the UK’s most complex and highly regulated contaminated sites. The project demanded exceptional standards of safety, precision and technical assurance. Its success was recognised with a Highly Commended Award for Technical Excellence at the 2025 Ground Engineering Awards.
